rupp has homers in his first 2 starts at lehigh (he's off today.) franco is struggling early, batting .111.

lakewood has an interesting team with crawford, greene, tocci, green and cozens.

So far, through 8 games, maikel franco is hitting a buck twenty-nine with 0 hrs.

As of lately the Iron pigs can't hit their way out of a paper bag. There is little hope in our triple A system. The future looks bleak for the Phillies farm players. But then again we only need a few at a time to emerge. Galvis and Hernandez are guys who should stick on the Phillies. Severino has a solid chance to help our pitching down the road. Also we might have a reliever or two make the grade. So I will change that to the future looks bleak for guys that can hit and field well. Franco can regroup with tutoring. I just think that opposing pitchers are exploiting his weaknesses right now.

reading has a powerful team right now, especially with cesar being dropped there. cam perkins is on fire, kelly dugan, ken giles, perci garner, jesse biddle, severino gonzalez and tommy joseph (although, still recovering and/or just sucking.)
