Soler or Ohtani?

Since ESPN is being a dick I can only start these two as DHs for positional play....

So...........

Who do I play more?

Soler or Ohtani?

ohtani has the upside... Soler is replaceable... so I would rather have ohtani on my team... But if I had to start one, that is a tougher question... would really have to be a week to week decision... since ohtani is clearly going to need more rest than Soler will....



But again Soler is not that good, so I would probably just always gamble with ohtani… taking the risk he only plays 4 times a week...

Yeah, Soler is a hit or miss guy now and Ohtani can simply "walk into one" so that is my thought as well. I have both because I thought for sure they'd have Soler as OF/DH but alas they only list him as DH eligible

I’d play Ohtani when he’s hitting, unless he has a tough matchup and Soler has a nice matchup.
Also, taking advantage of hot streaks by either.

But if Soler plays up to his potential, I would trade the better (Ohtani) name recognition for more return.

prior to Soler's strong 2019, he had a career 103 OPS+. It's 103 over his last 240 PA. he's also seen his contact rate in those 240 PA regress back to pre-2019 levels.

I have Soler in one of my leagues. Been disappointed so far. I luckily haven’t started him one week though but I thought he would have been a good addition for depth
