bout last nights game...i only saw the 1st 2nd 3rd buffalo goals...all of them i'd say are moose's fault..glad we gave him a NTC too


the shootout he was absolute garbage!!!!! he didnt even move on the first two shots!

i have to say i am DONE DONE DONE DONE with elias (i've said this before)...that had to be the single lamest move i've ever seen in a shootout! esp after arnott tried to go 5 hole the shot before! it honestly looked like he didnt even want to be out there! bash kovy all you want about him being "lazy" i havent seen hustle or finish out of elias the past 4 years!

as for kovy yeah that sucks that happened but hey that stuff happens...i'd be more pissed at him if he was trying to do something fancy with it and lost it.

Yea, guess thats why hes the one that ended that game between the Rags and Devils last year then. It also explains why hes tied for the lead in points for the team

Kovy has to settle the hell down. I am a huge fan. Got his jersey and know he will turn it around eventually, but he had 2 huge chances last night that he blew.
He is getting paid like a superstar and was brought to NJ to win games like yesterday. That slapshot 30 feet above the goalie and that shootout attempt were pathetic. What pissed me off about that shoot attempt was the way he lost the puck. He didnt even attempt to recover it. Hope he wont start pulling a Jagr and refuse to take shootouts.

Ok, after my mini-tirade, I have to believe my favorite Devil will start earning his money

Haha sorry Cup but you're being blatently bias because you like Kovy and supported him signing here, i personally haven't ever read a good word about Elias from you.

It's childish to attack someone like that when you have no grounds to really, especially in the same breath if you're defending Kovalchuk who based on play has been quite frankly awful.

If Kovalchuk does what Elias has done for us in the next 15 years then maybe he can be compared, the loyalty Elias has shown is admirable to say the least.

I'd go as far as to say 90% of fans ask for effort. That is all. Give effort and you'll be supported, be lazy and careless and you'll be buried.

Wasn't it Arnott, Elias, and Tedenby's line that worked really hard in the Sabres game, showed some chemistry, and rewarded on the score sheet?

Kovy had a chance to win the game in the last couple of minutes of play in the 3rd with the break away and doesn't even hit the net. Then in the shoot out doesn't even get a shot off. Yeah stuff happens but you can say the same for Elias. Maybe the scouting came back that the 5-hole is Enroth weak spot, which the coaches told the players and why Arnott and Elias went for that spot.

I just looked at the video MC put in the other thread and, to me, it looks like Elias tried to put the puck in the far side. Had Enroth follow him across and tried to get the puck up and over the pad and in on the far post but just didn't get it high enough and hit the pad. I'd say that is not a bad attempt at all and def not a lack of effort or even not wanting to be out there.
