Before the playoffs started I read a few times that the front office wanted to see Halak in the playoffs before they decided whether to keep him or Price.

I wonder what they will decide?

I havent seen him play other than the playoffs but I dont think hes just a red hot goalie right now. I think this guy could be for real? Any truth to that? You know much better than myself.

Funny, I was gonna start a thread about him. When you think about the fact that he has faced the Capitals (more goals than any team in 15 years) and the Pens (back-to-back Stanley Cup Finals) and leads all playoff goalies in save percentage, that is just ridiculous. That's four of the top ten offensive players in hockey. Hats off to Halak. Even if I'd like to kick him in the.... how do you say.. hala hala hala Halaks.

Imagine if the Habs actually beat the Pens and it's Rask vs Halak. could be a really low scoring series

The last couple of seasons convinced me he was at least a good solid goalie. I've been really impressed with his Olympics and playoffs, hes been very good in both.

How much does price make? The Bruins are in the same boat, except our backup makes 5 mil!!!

Kolzig - Hasek in 98....

Hasek 2 Kolzig 0
Kolzig 3 Hasek 2 (OT)
Kolzig 4 Hasek 3 (OT)
Kolzig 2 Hasek 0
Hasek 2 Kolzig 1
Kolzig 3 Hasek 2 (OT)

My nuts were in my chest that whole series....

Neither are that pricey right now, but both of their contracts are up after the season. They are both restricted free agents so they will get raises.

If Halak defeats the Pens, and gets his team to the finals... he's going to be counting lots of Le Dollar:D

He is one tough SOB to figure out. I cannot believe the saves he is making in this series. I didn't get to watch game four, but I was listening to the Pens radio broadcast and I was worried Mike Lange was either going to suffer a heart attack or fall out of the booth!! He was as dumbfounded as I am about some of the saves this guy is making

He makes it look so damn easy, too.

UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
