So I have jury duty in August...

Fuck fuck fuck fuckity fuck me. Has anyone else had Jury duty? Me Madre is a lawyer so I have an idea of what to expect, but if anyone has, what was your experience?

I have had it in Florida and Texas.

In florida, it was a r*pe trial and only made it through the first day. He decided to plead guilty to 25 years because he was convicted of r*pe in another case going on at the same time.

In texas, they settled out of court.

bring a book or something. (they got mad at me for playing on my cell phone while waiting in the jury pool)

My mother was on a capitol case. She was in court for over 5 months

I just hope it's not something big. They may decide to not use you for trial so you may get lucky.

a year after I moved to Ohio they tried to get me on jury duty for Florida LOL!

Take a hard line on whatever issue is on trial. If it's drug case; you hate drugs and all drug dealers should be executed, etc. Etc. You'll be out of that courtroom as quick as can be...speaking from experience.

oh yeah..i also was on a traffic speeding ticket jury a year ago.....

you know damn well not guilty on that one.

hell i have never recieved a letter for jury duty and i am probably one of few that would actualy want to do it!
