Not surprised, per-say. Just weren't sold one way or another based on a lot of different things going on. Congrats on keeping your franchise dude.

Not surprised. This doesn’t mean he can’t force his way out in the 3rd or 4th year but as of right now he seems like he is it in for the long haul...things can change quick if you dont win though. Should be interesting what they do this year

I am not shocked, but a bit surprised he didn't wait a little longer to see how the season went. But good for him if he is happy. Hopefully they can surround him with enough to win.

Time to unban @buckalis so he can rip into us all about how right he was and we are all....I'm sure he would have a nice mix of ole and new colorful terms.

Milwaukee is a very small market. How are they going to pay other quality players to build a credible team?

It doesn’t surprise me that he stayed.

What surprises me is that he signed it this off season. He could have waited and the same deal would be available to him next summer.

I think it is a little unwise strategically, but if he knew he was going to stay no matter what, then good for Giannis and good for the league.

Most people in WI had hoe but were not sure but the dea is done according to Milwaukee Sports talk a few minutes ago

I'm only surprised that he signed the 5 year deal. Figured he do a shorter deal. But, I also thought AD would sign a shorter deal too.

Maybe things are starting to cycle back to guys looking for longer term deals?

I'd take the over. If he is happy enough to sign a year out I think that he is set there for the whole contract. He'll be 31 when it's done and I think he'll still have some great playing years like LeBron is having (barring major injury)and can ring chase at that time if he doesn't have one.

I am no basketball expert and how the contracts work but the media here was saying he needed to sign the new deal by 12/21/2020 and if he did not sign it by then he was not able to sign it until after the season was over? With that being the case many in the area were a bit nervous thinkng he would not sign before the start of the season

Big win for the Bucks.

It's nice to see a little guy get a W every once in a while... sometimes it feels like that's not possible anymore... (if it ever was possible in the 1st place).
