He is one that I would play hard ball with. He really never lived up to his potential here consistently. Let him test FA waters. He may be surprised by what he finds out.

History shows young pass rushers get big money in FA. If we are going to spend money on our own guys I would think Crowder would get the money not Smith.

I like JC and all, but what exactly has he done the last couple years to merit a big contract? He had a terrible 3rd year for about 75% of the year and an injury plagued 4th year. And while I can't put a definitive point on this. I wouldn't be shocked if we seen the best we're gonna get from JC in the return game.

I wish T Quinn was able to get on the field more last year. Is he injury prone? Small sample size by Quinn last year, but if he isn't injury prone. I think he could bring production similar to JC.

I wouldn't break the bank for Smith. Simply put, he hasn'ty shown enougvh consistency for my liking. Too boom or bust. That said I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the Skins let him walk and he turns into a steady10- 13 sack guy with big play potential.

Gruden wants JC back. He can be a huge weapon when healthy.

Sportster's on point. A healthy JC is a pretty good slot WR, huge, is a pretty big reach. Though I wish the Skins would try and take more advantage of his speed/quickness. If Quinn can provide similar production though and can stay healthy. The Skins would be wise to go with Quinn and use the money they would've paid JC elsewhere.

I'd prefer they sign JC, then run JC and Quinn out on crossing routes, a la the Patriots with Edelman and whomever else they roll out there (Welker, Amendola, Hogan, Mitchell, etc.) to create speed based mismatches.

I think JC is and Quinn could be pretty good at running that short passing game stuff....

I'd let Preston Smith test free agency though...
