ProFootballTalk is reporting that one of those players will be signed by the Redskins today. Safety Jamarca Sanford(5'10", 200 lbs, 29 years old), was drafted in the 7th Round in 2009 by the Minnesota Vikings. He has been with the Vikings his entire NFL career, but he was placed on IR after injury his quad during a preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs. He was released off of the Vikings IR with an injury settlement on September 8th.
Sanford has started 44 games for the Vikings over his 5 year career. He has 267 tackles, 1 sack, 11 passes defended, 8 forced fumbles, and 2 INTS. Sanford was fittingly the replacement for Madieu Williams when he wasn't re-rsigned.
