SIX teams ranked ahead of Boise State LOST this weekend

# 7 Notre Dame lost to # 3 Georgia (23-17)

# 10 Utah lost to unranked U.S.C. (30-23)

# 11 Michigan lost to # 13 Wisconsin (34-14)

# 15 Central Florida lost to unranked (1-2) Pittsburgh (35-34)

# 17 Texas A & M lost to # 8 Auburn (28-20)

# 19 Washington State lost to unranked U.C.L.A. (67-63)

As a result we MAY see Boise State move up as many as five spots in the polls. Or as few as 2 spots. Utah losing by 7 to an unranked U.S.C. team has to cost them a lot. Michigan getting dominated by Wisconsin ditto. Central Florida losing to a bad (1-2) Pitt team ditto times two. Texas A & M losing to # 8 Auburn by 8 points not so much.

Boise State did, in fact, move up 5 spots this week in the Amway/USA Today Coaches poll - from 20 last week to #15 this week.

Utah dropped to # 10

Michigan dropped to # 20

Central Florida dropped to # 23

Texas A & M dropped to # 21

Washington State dropped out of the top 25

Well that makes at LEAST two of us who knew that.

Michigan dropped TEN spots in the Coaches Poll - thanks to their loss to Wisconsin. That's a bigger drop in the poll of ANY of the ranked teams who lost this weekend. Utah dropped 8 spots and UCF dropped ONLY 7 spots.
