Be sure to give a lot of credit as well to Brian Elliot, who is playing out of his mind right now. Bet Sens fans are wondering where the hell this came from.

Not me. I knew he was good. Guess Ottawa just wasn't the right situation. He sure seems comfortable now.

I thought Marchand reminded me of Oshie...:spy:

Oshie has more talent though...

I swear I've been talking about the Blues for three or four years now, but it finally looks like they are ready to be a force due to a Great Fatness falling across the land. I think Langenbrunner was a good addition as well.

Either way, Hitch better make his hay in the playoffs or this little run doesn't mean jack. We're stocked, locked, and ready to rock, so bring it on fat man. Datsyuk will puckhandle around that clumsy oaf Polak and through all nine of Hitch's chins before you can say "pork chop".

Not really. He was fantastic for extended periods for the Sens. To wit his 11 game winning streak 2 years ago.

I'll wonder where it's coming from if he is consistently good over a couple of seasons. I won't be that surprised though. The guy is big and pretty quick for his size. He cares about playing well too (maybe too much sometimes as he takes a slump too much to heart).

Goalies peak late. I think Elliott was forced into a pressure cooker too early because Pascal Leclaire was always injured. He might just mature into a good starter. At any rate, the guy is and always has been, better than the ECHLer wearing his jersey for the Sens and Avs last year.

The Blues are starting to turn into some dirty bitches though...

Turning into? How long has Oshie been there?

Normally, you'd expect this to piss me off. But the way the Jackets have responded and Nikitin playing 29+ solid minutes a night...

I'm okay with it at this point.

Wish Russell all the luck in the world.

I am convinced that it doesn't matter who coaches a team, only how long they have been coaching them. It seems like every time a team makes a coaching change they go on a run. When I win the lottery and buy a hockey team, I have the perfect strategy - coach swap every ten games.
