when Chicago was at their best Joaqim Noah was first team all NBA.

Way to leave him out.

Noah is just a role player. Can't even shoot properly. KnuckleBalls it. No one you can rely on to win a title. LOL

Except Rose's 3 was improving by leaps and bounds and he was draining them prior to the playoff injury. Westbrook's J has always been trash

And Rose never had guys like to Durant/harden to play with. LOL. Comparing these two. Rose had Butler as his 2nd option. good player but not the caliber of those two.

Give Rose KD and Harden to play with in Chicago and see if Miami or Cleveland win a title. LOL

LOL everything you say is wrong. It's like you don't watch the game and never have. Both were always bad 3 point shooters in their prime, they both could get hot at times but that's what happens to star players.

Rose had the best defensive team in the league around him. Butler was a great defender even when he was young. Both Deng and Noah were GREAT defenders, Noah was an elite defender. That team didn't accomplish anything, closest they got was the series Rose banked a lucky 3 and were up 2-1 on Lebron. Then Lebron decided to turn it on...that was against still a damn good Rose and better Butler. Love was hurt, Kyrie was half hobbled.

But even in Lebron's first stint he dominated the Bulls by himself...his 2nd and 3rd options were Jamison and Mo Williams, two below average defenders. Before that he took out Kidd-RJ-Carter trio by himself. His 2nd and 3rd options were Hughes and Big Z. Also, in his early days he took out Arenas-Jamison-Butler. Prime Arenas he could get buckets for days.
The only "superteams" Lebron ever had around him was in his Heat years. That Cavs roster that you want to label as a superteam was the worst team in the league being led by Kyrie, yep. They added Love and that makes them a super team? LOL what a joke.
There have been plenty of star players in the history of the game that's had more to work with than Lebron. Remember, Lebron for 7 years had virtually nothing and he was competing with the Big 3 C's and taking down the Champion Pistons. You need to start watching some basketball, maybe you will learn a few things.

He's an enormously talented player. However, when he's out there everyone stands around and watches him. He kills team play and the flow that the offense has without him. He has some learning left to do...

Damn good role player for averaging 15 and 13 and 2 blocks. DPOY. And that's as a 4th or 5th option.

Maybe. It could also be that it was his first time on the big stage as his teams #1 option. Last year, all he had to do was follow Kawhi's lead.

This year, he had to be Kawhi.
Toronto basically returned to what they were before Kawhi. Siakam takes Derozan's place. A good playoff team, but not elite. They sold out for the one championship, knowing it would be tough to keep Kawhi. Siakam's emergence has been great, but he's just not ready for an elite role yet, and may never be. There are great players in the league that never ascend to that level.

In retrospect, I think it's pretty obvious that Kyrie is not a superstar player for a winning team. He's almost a net negative given how much cap space he eats up. A point guard needs to be a better leader.

I don't agree with Dorian about Lebron having the most stacked team, but the Cavs were a superteam. They had the best player in the game, one of the best young guards in the game (who may have been the best scoring guard in the game at the time) and a multiple time all star in Kevin Love.

They were just unfortunate that the Warriors had a "superer super team".

It funny bc when Lebron "composed" this team...everyone thought he is forming a super team. Love and Kyrie were the best players on terrible teams that could never get to the playoffs. I think the real answer is...Lebron makes a lot of team super teams. You could call this Lakers team a super team bc of Lebron and AD...superstars but I don't think they are. There is a difference imo. Kyrie and Love were all-star players. Kyrie transformed into a young star but when you put him on decent team or even playoff team as a leader, that team doesn't live up to expectations. That isn't a star player imo. Lebron elevated Kyrie...that's why Lebron is the 2nd best player of all-time and just continues to dominate at an old age. We've really never seen a player like Lebron in the history of the game.

LOL What a bunch of delusional homers. Relative to how CRAP the East is most years (even now) that aint a superteam thats a damn DREAM TEAM

East?

Sure.

Problem is you have to beat the West too in order to win a title.

The West housed the real super team of that era.

Warriors haf holes in their team. They blew a 3-1 series lead. Not to mention all the problems the Rockets gave them. They were great. But they weren't exactly the 86 Celtics, 96 Bulls, 01 Lakers whatever great either. Not "unbeatable" by any stretch

He means the team with Durant. The 2017 Warriors were one of the greatest teams in history.

In this era of soft, feminine, fast pace small ball void of any physical contact.. Sure. They wouldn't SNIFF a title in the old NBA 15-20-30 years ago. Game was too physical (especially in the playoffs) and the inside out ball slows the game down which hurts the Warriors
