So Rashad Penny's injury could take longer to recover than initially reported they said it could take 9-12 months. Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: Has additional damage beyond ACL

I like Chris Carson but this guy has had two major injuries in 3 seasons. The Browns already have their running back and it would be dumb to pay two backs not to mention they still need to pay other players down the line I think Hunt could be available and I would definitely risk giving him a multi year deal if he was on the market.

if it's a one-year deal, then it would be fine. anyone who gives him a long-term contract is going to regret it though because that guy won't stay out of trouble forever.

There are cases of players making bad choices early on in their career and still managed to come out of it like Richie Ingognito or Brandon Marshall but I think what happend in that altercation was an isolated incident.

that was not an isolated incident. he had several incidents while with the Chiefs. all violence related.

Draft Cam akers or moss from utah, forget any FAs. We unfortunately may have to reach in round 2 to get one but seems RB is a serious need now.

Draft a RB at some point after day 1 of the draft. Tons of good RBs yearly in the drafts and they cost little. Signing a trouble player to a multi year contract seems extremely foolish thing to consider, especially at the RB position. You would be adding high risk to big cost , a receipt for disaster.
Also as mentioned this wasn't a isolated case, the guy has issues that aren't likely to disappear.

What issues did Hunt have in Kansas City? The only thing that I could find was the fine he had for a lowering of the helmet block in a game

Wouldn't mind say a 2 year deal and drafting a kid.

We'll be done with Procise finally, and Carson/Hunt/Homer/Draftee will be great while Penny is PUP.

Focus once again on Oline, Dline, WR, and Secondary in the draft.

Are you joking? Did you have too much spiked egg nogg over the holidays and forget about the video where he kicked a woman which led to KC kicking him off their team?

We'll see how Marshawn looks over the course of the playoffs, but I could see a scenario where he comes back next year to be Carson's primary backup at least up to the point where Penny can play. You would still have Travis Homer in that situation as well, and he's looked quite competent when given opportunities.

We have to draft one of the better RBs, period.

Homer has played well but the guy is not am nfl back. Penny may never be the same and carson is on the last year of his deal.

We need to spend some of that salary cap to retain a good chunk of our lineman, so really can't afford to spend too much on another RB. We should address the position through the draft, and maybe with a cheap free agent.

and there were also 3 or 4 other incidents where he was getting in fist fights with dudes. the guy has serious anger issues and they WILL come up again....... probably once someone gives him a longer term contract and he doesn't have to behave every day to get a contract.

He was a damn good player. Too bad about his behavior issues.

wow what some teams get away with! i saw a few of the screen passes in that clip where lineman were 5-15 yards DOWN FIELD BEFORE THE PASS and not getting called.

And here we are where if our WR even slightly gets in the way of a CB even with out contact the hawks get called for a pick or illegal block ...

Meh, every team gets leeway on screen passes. If the refs wanted they can call a penalty on every one but they give the lineman a little leeway
