Should Joe Madden be worried?

Been reading articles that indicate he might be on his way out or, at the very least, his contract which expires at the end of next year, will not be extended - at least for now.

On one hand, the Cubs have had 4 consecutive years of 90+ wins so he has that going for them.

On the other hand, they have digressed in the post season every year since their 2016 WS championship and with the amount of cash invested in FA, the FO wants to win NOW not later.

I think it would be a big mistake in letting him go. Considering all of the injuries and outside distractions, he managed his ass off to get his club in contention for yet another Division championship. Someone, however, is going to have to fall on the sword for this latest setback and it will probably be their hitting coach.
