What team will be the biggest shock dissapointment? Why? Don't tell me you're shocked that the Raiders suck. I'll start with the Superbowl losers. SB losers usually fall back. Yes, I'm going to say the FortyNiners fall to third. That should get you going.

I think the most realistic 'shock' would be the Falcons missing the playoffs.

NFC South is always so even...its an impossible division to pick yet everyone is picking the Falcons because it looks right. But the Bucs and Panthers look like trendy bounceback teams according to the usual data and common sense suggests that the Saints should be better.

The people who are going to be most disappointed are those who claim the Ravens won't be good any more. That's ridiculous IMO...

I actually think the Pats could miss the playoffs.

I do, as well, but the only team that I can see knocking them off in their division is Miami and I'm not 100% sold on them, either.

Ravens are my top choice. Not that I think they'll be bad or anything, but of all of last years playoff teams, it seems that they've gone through the most change. I doubt they miss the playoffs, though. If they do, it certainly would be shocking.

The Redskins are my next choice. RG3's health is still a significant question mark, and they're not a great team without him.

Texans need Matt Schaub to prove he can win a big game or two. I guess him not winning a big game wouldn't be too much of a shock, but I can't help but think Houston should have much higher expectations. T.J. Yates has more playoff victories than Schaub. That's rough.

Detroit Lions not winning 12 games...that will be my huge disappointment.

I like the Ravens to have the hangover, not the 49ers. 49ers got better. I am worried Kap will sophomore slump it up though.

In GB I feel they have not been what they should be since they won the SB, I feel the Ravens will mirror this.

Biggest shock would be Denver in that division.

Only disappointment would be the Lions.

I think the Ravens could slump - even badly. However 9-7 might take that division. I'm a Patriots homer so I of course KNOW that the Pats will make the playoffs. The best response I've seen so far is the Falcons. It would be a shock but they are in a division that could make much improvement. Very interesting.

It'd be tough not to make the playoffs by virtue of simple attrition.

Seattle. They win 11 games last year? I say 8-8 this year and miss the playoffs

The Rams? Maybe. The Cardinals? I don't think so. Even if Carson Palmer weren't a shell of his former self, that OL is so bad that only the Bears' OL rivals it in sucktitude. And I don't think a just one rookie guard / center is going to fix that.

And Carson Palmer's former self wasn't all that great to begin with.

Sucktitude. I like that word.

The Eagles will still suck this year. Is that a shock?

Could end up being like 2008, where either Miami or New England win the division on the tiebreaker and the other misses the playoffs on tiebreakers.

I'm not sure how you think 9-7 would take the AFC North. 9-7 might be the 3rd best record in the division.

No...

Not when your new head coach is a puss running from an NCAA violations comittee, and he runs a "spread offense", then he retains the services of Mike Vick , its a given Eagles are destined to suck!

I think the Bengals and Steelers are good enough to compete but not there yet. I think the Ravens will slip. I'm guessing you will beat each others brains out.

My Shocking Prediction is Bengals win the AFC North and the Jets will have a better record then the Dolphins.
