(7:00 2nd per)

Apparently every time Detroit plays SJ we're going to see Jamie Baker reliving his epic playoff moment, which ultimately detracts from the moment's epicness.

Rant over.

At the end of the 2nd, the score remains the same.

Couture got hit with a puck to the elbow and seemed a little shaken up but remains in the game.
Hertl might have caught a skate to the face. Hope he's ok.
Niemi looked good in the 2nd.

Get ready for period 3. We all know that's when things get a bit dicey.

End of the 3rd and Marleau scores an empty netter to make it 6-4.

00:31 SJS Logan Couture (24) Wrist shot - ASST: Patrick Marleau (35)
03:39 DET Stephen Weiss (8) Wrist shot - ASST: Teemu Pulkkinen (2), Brendan Smith (9)
04:56 SJS Patrick Marleau (16) Snap shot - ASST: Brent Burns (38)
07:27 DET Henrik Zetterberg (17) Wrist shot - ASST: Jonathan Ericsson (12), Niklas Kronwall (33)
18:43 SJS EN - Patrick Marleau (17) Wrist shot - ASST: Logan Couture (36)

Look who decided to show up for the 3rd period!
Patrick Marleau had 2 goals and an assist. One was an empty netter but he had to work for that one too so well played #12. Better late than never. Always good to win at the Joe.

Final 6-4 Sharks

Too little too late leave it to the sharks to go out and fuck up their own draft position

Actually defensively they were still a shit show but Detroit's D worse.

Tierney looks to me like a keeper long term. Hopefully Nieto/Hertl come out of their sophomore slumps and then we might have something next year.

If I see Hannon in a Sharks jersey next year I am never going to game again.

Are they officially out of the playoffs now?

Are they officially out of the playoffs now?

Mathematically, they have a "great" chance. It's okay that they have thrown away all of those points at home since the beginning of February, no problem there.
