Mr. Knowitall
Callahan is having a hell of a night.
Let's all say it together:
FUCK THE RAGS!!!!!
Sharks just screwed around a bit too much in this one and Niemi wasn't all that great. I was pretty surprised they tied it after being down 2-0.
But, being the 3rd game in 4 nights and the boys coming home 5-1 on the 6-game road trip when most of us were expecting them to go 1-5 is good enough...
PS. Burns is terrible at teh D... way worse than most of us Sharks fans with low expectations uhh.. expected. Hah!
EDIT: re: Thornton quote, yeah... apparently Tortorella said something like "Joe said that, did he? Wonderful." when asked about it... haha.. good times.
I really didn't understand the Burns trade. I know they thought White would get a lot more money than he did.
The need for a defenseman was definitely there, but looking back on it for Setoguchi, Coyle and a first round pick the Sharks definitely should have gotten someone much better than Burns.
Big Joe came close

See Joe Thornton's post-game comment tonight: "They (NYR)were probably softest team we played on trip. We should have had these two points."
I didn't see the game, but that strikes me as odd coming from the wrong side of a 5-2 score.
It comes down to who was available I guess. For that package one would tend to believe someone better could have been had.
John Tortorella did not appreciate Sharks captain Joe Thornton calling the Rangers soft after the Blueshirts defeated San Jose, 5-2, Monday night. Not one bit.
“Yeah it caught me off-guard when it was brought up after the game,” Tortorella said at the team’s Greenburgh practice facility Tuesday morning. “It surprised me, and I’ve never heard a player say that. Joe’s a heck of a player, but here’s a player popping off about our team, and Joe hasn’t won a g--damn thing in this league. He could go down as a player, being one of the better players in our league never to win anything. So what he should do is just shut up. It was uncalled for, it was classless, and I’ve never had it happen like that before.”
Thornton reportedly said the Blueshirts “were probably the softest team we played against” on San Jose’s early season six-game road trip.
No respect for Tortorella saying that the day after after all he could muster when told about it last night being "Wonderful." or whatever.
Thornton said shit in the heat of the moment, after being pissed off after losing a game. Big fucking deal.
Still think the whole thing is much ado about nothing.
i love how Torts starts off somewhat decent in this quote and just goes right into a RANT great interview lol
