What would you do if it was your decision playing Bryzy or Bob versus the Devils? Bryzy is red hot now, but should possibly rest for this game to give Bob some time. I think it's a tough call for Lavi here. Personally I play the hot goalie Bryzy, but I would hate to run the risk of him having a stinker. No need to ruin his confidence. Bob has to get in at some point to stay somewhat fresh if something were to happen to Bryzy. Thoughts?

The last 3 seasons in Phx he has played 68, 69, 65 games. Hes at 49 currently. Bob should get the start tonight. Lavi has to play bryz the majority of the remaining games besides the back to backs.

I think you sit Bryz down and ask him if he really wants to play and if he truly thinks he is able to play at his best. It is his net right now, so don't just take it away from him.

I think Bob should start

It's a tough call ... the guy has a 130 minute shutout streak going. I'd pose the question to Bryz about whether he wants to start.

I think you leave it up to Bryz, I don't think physically he will be hurting at all and has been playing awesome, He will start I feel. I think he has finally cleared out all the mental fatigue and is just concentrating on hockey, it definitely shows. I think Bryz's whole problem has been getting a grasp on his situation mentally and it looks like through some veteran leaders(Briere) he has been told he is fine and that the team is 100% his and he has reacted to the challenge, should be a great run if he keeps it up..

all potentially in the lineup tonight? wowzers. i believe that ties our season high of rookies taking the ice at 8

why doesn't that ever get talked about? the flyers are dressing almost half a roster in rookies on a nightly basis, but get no love in the media.

Go with the hot goalie IMO.
Bobs hasn't played since Feb.18th,has lost 4 of his last 5 and was giving up 4 goals a game on average.

The points are too crucial now,so until Bryz starts faltering you ride him out.

i dont have it handy, but a couple weeks ago i saw it and the flyers were surprisingly low on the list.. i wanna say they were somewhere between 5 and 10

i'll look for the numbers though now, not like i have anything to do anyway...

i assume though we have climbed up the list drastically at this point, February 17th was when we hit our second waive of injuries.

well we've only played what, probably 15 games since then, we'll say average of 6 guys missing.. 90 more man-games lost.. we've probably climbed a bit, but other teams have had guys out for that time too, and i dno if we've made up 90 games either..

pronger
betts
lappy

missed all the games

timo / mesz have missed what 3 now? or 4?

kubina's missed 2

voracek's missed 2

jvr i think has missed all those, and sestito has missed most if not all

so i guess 90 might not be a bad guess

That's not really that surprising. Don't get me wrong, one of the reasons we've had so many rookies play is because we keep having injuries, but there are guys like Couturier and Schenn and Read who are in the lineup even if everyone's healthy.

Also Lilja plays like a rookie.
