Anointed One
Land of the Free
Starting out the month, six games behind. Going to be a tough hurdle to overcome.
It's pretty much subpar across the board for all the players. Usually, you can pick on the roster in a season like this to see who does well... but really, there's no one. They don’t deserve the playoffs, and it’s best they don’t make it. Some heads need to roll for this debacle of a season. The only thing I look forward to watching is Laz and hopefully Arroyo getting their cup of coffee. Kade getting some seasoning and the possibility of Sloan getting a cup also. The season has been a disgrace from the owners to upper management, coaching staff and players all a disgrace.
Kinda right but wrong at the same time. The MLBPA set up a system where guys who don’t deserve to get paid, get paid as long as they reach “free agency”. I will admit my bias against Heyman and Morosi because they are Scott Boras stooges but his point IMO makes no sense. A business being overpaid to attain makes more sense than a player. Not wrong
IMO that should help the MLBPA in their negotiations. The owners main legit argument is players are paid too much that NBA teams are more valuable. Well a small market team with no cap just went for a tiny bit less than the Blazers.
His comment is dead on. One of the worst run teams for decades just sold for a record amount. There is no way to lose in baseball...unless you are a fan.Kinda right but wrong at the same time. I say on twitter all the time that any player additions won't help because the idiot that caused the need for improvement will be the same guy that tries for the umpteenth time to improve them again.I haven't watched an M's game since July but I've kept up with sentiment from fans and pundits.
The fixation on Dan is pretty hilarious since this org goes through its skips like Sherman to the Atlantic.
I'm really curious what kind of impact you think a new skip hired by the same people who hired all of the other skips will have on the team's ability to win, which is all that matters.
I swear our "fans" have been so well-conditioned to get onboard with a shrieking chorus mentality that brings nothing but delight to Statnon et al. They want their customers to blame anybody and everybody but them, and skips have been their go-to for deflecting. Now they know they can get away with it even while they parade an all-time M out to try to get pure dogshit to smell like roses.
But the shrieking chorrus will almost definitely get its wish and we'll have a new skip next year. And it'll provide a good level of placation despite the fact that (imo) changing the skip to somebody else these jokes hire will make very little to no difference. Stanton and his crew have this down pat.
