If it keeps the francaphones quiet, then so be it.
Look at the teams they are hosting. France, Italy, and Swiss.
Should be a cake walk for them.

I like it. Nothing wrong with Quebec having their own little thing. Do any Canadians outside of Quebec like the separatist idea?

Like the topic title but it was the opposite for me. My anxieties went away when I got separated. :)

If they could do it without being a HUGE economic drain to the remaining part of Canada, then I say build a wall. (and put a lid on it)

Looking at the 2010 Olympic team, which is where they would ultimtely like to take this:
all 3 goalies were from PQ. Other than that, the ONLY roster player was Patrice Bergeron.
I wonder if the NHLers would prefer to play for Canada or for Quebec? We might see a team much like the US teams of years past where the players who couldn't make Team Canada go to Team Quebec (Brett Hull, Adam Deadmarsh, etc).

A few years ago when someone (maybe that politician who attacked Koivu for speaking French poorly) complained about the lack of Quebec players on the Habs Gainey pointed out the area wasn't producing players like it once had.

My 2 cents, admittedly not worth anything because I do not know even a fraction of the social issues and reasons behind this, is to not let them have separate teams. Yeah you have different backgrounds and speak different languages. So what. I bet the people in Halifax are different from people in Calgary and I dont hear them bitching about separate teams.

We would with the extreme separatists but that won't be feasable. They would cut off the atlantic provinces from the rest of Canada and control the Saint Lawrence seaway.
The fucking British screwed us. Should have polished off the French and not give them Lower Canada at that time. Furthermore they should of not given as much power to them when the British North American Act was put in.
