LA hasn't won since 1988, they have the highest payroll in MLB and IMO should be desperate in a win now mode. Unless they want to keep wasting the efforts of the game's best pitcher in Kershaw year after year

LA gets their title, Philly gets to build around JP Crawford, Joc Pederson, and probably one other fairly decent prospect along with Nola from the most recent draft

They've been talking about it in the last hour. Amaro thinks they can get 3 or 4 top prospects which I don't think will happen but if you could get Pederson and Seager I think you have to do it.

I don't think the Dodgers are desperate especially after sweeping the Giants. No one in their right mind can expect the Giants to keep winning with that paltry lineup. How they've gotten to this point testifies to how weak the division is. The Giants especially struggle against sub-.500 teams.

Yeah, 8 of one 2/3 dozen of another. The thing is all of our "crap" would have value if every single one of them wouldn't have been signed to a contract that makes sure that whoever gets them will have to keep them past their usefulness.
