woulda been the same for Haden if he wasn't an inside guy and his time could still need by late August...... I'm a Haden guy.

I know many are still looking at our DL like it is this huge weak link. I'm not syaing they are great and I do think we need to improve the DL still, but they were much better than our secondary last year and we did have a lot of depth on the DL. It was the top end talent that was our problem.

With the addition of Hardy at DE you now have 3 players that are clearly our top 3, you have a handful of other, younger guys around and may even resign Spencer if he is cheap and there are no other takers. Plus, we will likely draft a couple more DL in two months. How many more DEs do we need? I just think it ended up a numbers game with Selvie and by week 1 it will be a numbers game for Hayden too. Barring injuries I don't see either making the team and that is a very good thing because I think both players filled a big role for us the last couple of years. It means the talent and depth have both improved to the point where two guys that were starters are now not even able to make the 53...
