The SEC has already left the NCAA. They are cancelling inter-conference games left and right.
Doesn't that have more to do with their decision to catch up with the B10 and B12 by mandating 9 conference games? The ACC announced it is doing the same at the end of last season.

I think the SEC and Big Ten would prefer to stay in the NCAA but FAFO depending on what they do with the Save Act.

They are doing exactly what I said they would do when the playoff selection committee did not reward strength of schedule while brutally punishing extra losses.

The SEC plays 9 conference games and requires every team to play at least one P4 team OOC every year. Does the B1G require that? How about the ACC? The Big 12? Seems to me you ought to be complaining about the weak OOC scheduling of those conferences first.

the courts are wrong on this one.
Nope. The NCAA currently is a monopoly.
it's like saying that everyone who gets denied work by Facebook is a victim because FB makes more money than every small business in the US.
FB has competitors in the digital space. The NCAA has no competition for bigtime college sports.

big time is irreverent

There are other venues

Thats the entitlement

Also can’t just include college sports since we wouldn’t be here if this was treated as college sports

No its not. NAIA and the like is not even in the same category. They don't even award scholarships

Major college sports are a single market.

Their argument is that only Netflix counts not Tubi

It’s dishonest and incorrect

There are always fights around what defines a market. There are no direct competitors for the NCAA in major college sports. Its obviously a monopoly.

I am surprised that, at least for baseball, no one has tried to use the end-around for minor league baseball to try and get what they want that way. Same for Euroleague in basketball, and other minor league hockey.

Football is the sticking point. You want to go to the NFL? 99.9% of players are going through the NCAA. In the other sports, there is workaround including not going to college, period.

IMO, this is where the B1G and SEC can form their own thing, if revenue sharing is forced on them.
