Seattles Secondary depth

I have to say even I am surprised at how well Maxwell and Lane have played.

Coming into the season the depth chart was this:

Sherman
Browner
Thurmond
Maxwell
Lane

Browner and Thurmond are both out due to injury and stonerism.

All Maxwell has done is come in and play better then both guys he's replacing. 3 picks in 3 games. I honestly dont remember a pass getting completed on him last week.

Seattles depth at corner is ridiculous.

Be careful. Its ok to talk about some teams here, but some posters get really bent when you talk about the Hawks.

Though I agree, Carroll is an excellent defensive coach. They get the most out of every défensive player.

I remember reading that Browner and Thurmond would both miss the NO game shortly before it was played. I thought that might provide Brees and all of his weapons an opportunity to take advantage of backup CBs. That was clearly wrong.

I'm not a Sewhawks hater here (and this really goes for any team) but wouldn't this thread be better suited for the Seahawks board? I feel like a niche thread like this should be a team board topic and the NFL board should be for general NFL discussion. Otherwise you'll likely just be inviting people to hate on what could otherwise be a good discussion and it turns into a mess.

I think you are probably right. At the same time, the board is quite slow right now, so a "mess" might not be too bad of a thing.

Meh, It's not much of a discussion on the team board. Were all homers there.

I want to know what the broncos fans, saints fans, NJ Devils fans. Think of it.

Considering the Record setting points that are being scored in the league this year (this past sunday being the biggest scoring day in nfl history) The continuance to fine/flag Defense for hitting. The ticky tack PI calls. etc. etc. etc. It makes what Seattles doing on D that much more special.

Im sure Carolina fans have some crazy things to bring up about their equally awesome defense.

Imagine how good Seattle and Carolinas D would be if they played by the same rules the 85 Bears D did.....

Atleast you have the Devils. I was born in NJ, moved to Seattle when I was young. And since seattle doesn't have hockey ive always rooted for NJ.

The problem with OP's post is that it doesn't really invite discussion. It's a pat my team on the back post that clearly should go on the Seahawks board.

You want Discussion, well here you go. Maxwell and Lane would probably start on about 25ish other teams in the league maybe more.

More discussion, Maxwell has really outplayed Browner who's in a contract year. Sherman is in a contract year next year.

With what we all know Sherm will require, Theres not going to be any home town discount. or any discount really at all. it may give all the haters out there a chance to pine over and pray their team of choice signs a guy that they hate now since he's on Seattle.

And noone can predict a devastating knee injury

But sherms still young. He still has a chip on his shoulder the size of the rocky mountains

he still works harder then most

He will be getting a ginormous contract shortly.

I just think he's flavor of the month. the depth of seattle is strong but Sherman gets the media attention.
