Bill Bergen for HoF!
Positives:
Matt Cassell - Tony Romo he is not, and he's new to the system. He isn't a quarterback who is going to put the team on his shoulders and win the game, so as long as Seattle makes him be the one to beat them, it'll be good. Dallas has also yet to win a game since Romo went down.
Marshawn Lynch - Dallas has a top 10 run defense, but that's in part due to playing such pass happy offenses (20th in ypc), especially the hapless Eagles in week 2. Seattle seems to be wanting to re-establish themselves as the top run team with last weeks performance.
Jordan Hill - Seattle has been a little thin at DT lately, and getting Hill back will be big (I haven't seen reports but he's listed as probable).
Negatives:
Greg Hardy - He is a one man wrecking crew - as he can wreck both the Cowboys and their opponents. He's gotten 3 sacks in 2 games, and we all know Seattle's issues with the number of sacks that opponents get on Russell. If our line isn't at full strength, then that could be an even bigger issue.
Carey Williams - He's been solid at times, and then turns around and is just brutal. We need a good performance from him, as Cassell isn't gonna beat us with his arm, unless we just let him do it. He's been the weak link in the LOB, so let's hope he picks it up starting this week.
Jason Witten - Seattle has been haunted by TEs all season, and though Witten isn't the fastest TE we'll ever see, he's probably the smartest. He's an important part to Dallas' offense, and Seattle needs to shut him down.
Matchups:
Turnovers - There isn't a team that has been worse at forcing turnovers than Dallas - and at the same time they rank 27th in keep the ball themselves. If Seattle can win the turnover battle then that'll go a long way to winning this game.
Strengths - Despite all the reports of Michael starting due to lack of production from the running backs, Dallas is ranked 7th on the ground and 7th in ypc. Seattle on the otherhand is 6th against the run and 5th in ypc.
Overview:
Seattle has to beat teams that they should beat. A Romo-less Cowboys should be considered one of those games. There are still too many questions about how the team has been playing to put this game in a easy win category, though, as Seattle has lost to every tough team they've played. It'll make getting to the playoffs a lot easier if they can go into their bye 4-4.
