Why would someone start this thread when we don't even know if it will be Carolina going to Seattle? Either way, if Cam plays like he did agains AZ, the Panthers would lose by 30. Carolina wouldn't stand a chance in Seattle.

Lets hope NFL fixes this because Carolina should not get a home.

In this game Seattle wins by 14+. Only team that has a shot against seattle in the NFC is Dallas who already beat them in seattle. Dez and williams beat up on sherman a little.

Overall I expect seattle to be back in the super bowl against Pats.

I think Carolina matches up better with Seattle. I think they could shock the world & beat Seattle. I think Seattle would pound Detroit, but have serious doubts about the Lions beating the Cowboys today.

Seattle knows Carolina quite well and has beaten them several times on the road in their house.

They do have a defense, but even when supported by their home crowd it hasn't been able to stop them enough to overcome what Seattle's defense has done to their offense.

This game will be in the Clink. Cam will shit himself worse than a Florida Gator RB.

Torn on who would give the Hawks a better game. Det better run D that could possibly contain Lynch which plays in their favor. I think Det could go into Sea and win. Car a much quicker swarming front 7 that can contain Wilson. Not sure Car can muster enough points to win?
Having said that I think Dallas wins today. Since it's a Sea/Car thread I say Seattle wins but Car makes a game of it.
If I'm not mistaken, if it plays out the way I described this would be the NFCC game.

Ballinjim made two threads. T'other one was Carolina at Green Bay.

I guess we can continue this thread now.

I expect a low scoring game, slugfest game like previous 3 years. Seattle has found a way to win all those on the road so I expect them to win at home.

We played both teams earlier, and we definitely match up better with the seabirds. Green Bay ran us out of the gym. That doesn't mean that the Panthers have that great a chance - I agree with other posters that playing in SEA is a different animal.

The last couple of games have been tight, defensive battles. The main difference is that Wilson can use his feet to nullify the pressure CAR generates, and I've never seen a guy throw on the run like he can.

One thing's for sure -> if we make a bunch of stupid mistakes, like against AZ, Seattle will take advantage of them, and put the Panzers away. And Cam has to be much more accurate.

Pretty much sums it up. If Carolina can get their run game going and limit turnovers it will probably come down to the wire.

They always play us very tough. They got a very solid front 7. They got hot at the end of the season and could easily beat us if we pull a 1st half choke job like the Huskies did in their bowl game. The Seahawks offense sometimes takes too long to get going and put points on the board. While the extra week gives some of our players time to heal up better, it means we have more rust to scrap off compared to the Panthers who will won't.

I'm expecting a good game and taking nothing for granted.

Go Hawks!!!

Blowouts are unlikely in the playoffs statistically speaking.

Cardinals fans promised a blowout after the Panthers kicked their ass.

I think they were just a little salty

Yea the last three years I think the scores have been 16-12, 12-7 and 13-9. It will be interesting to see how Cam handles being in Seattle because he has been held in check vs this defense in 3 home games.

Well PTL, we got the matchups everybody wanted.

Carolina has to play a perfect game on all three sides of the ball or this one could get pug fugly.

Maybe Sherman, Lynch and Wilson all get food poisoning just before kickoff.

I feel better that Seahawks are facing Panthers than the Lions.

That does not stop me from giving the Cowboys fans shit on the gift victory.

We will be healthier this game than we have been since week 1. Unger and okung will play, our defense is rested, playing at home.

That being said, i think its close at half time but as is usual for us at home we dominate the second half.

Im thinking 24-9

The last time Carolina came to Seattle was in the NFC C-SHIP game back in '05 where the Hawks won 34-14....
