Sean Couturier was too good to pass up...hamilton looks good and we need some youth on defense... we have more picks expect the flyers to package and move up if they really like someone...

Seeing conflicting info - how big is this kid? Some sources [ESPN] have him listed @ 6'0, but others [CBS, NHL] have him @ 6'4, 192.

Anyone?

Well, wikipedia says 6'3" 192 lbs. He did look awfully tall compared to some of the other guys.

I like the fact that he's a player that is proud of his superb +/- and can be a shutdown center instead of a pure scorer if need be.

Here's a little snippet on him courtesy of eliteprospects.com.

"A large center with a lot of power and strength. Utilizes his size very well. A strong skater with good speed. A hard shooter. Works hard in front of the net. Has great hands. Strong defensively."

If this is really the player we're getting, you have to be excited about his future with our Flyers.

Shocked he fell to you guys, I wanted the Devils to take him at 4 (if Larsson hadn't of fallen to us). Damn I wanted to like this guy to. Great pick.

I am pumped!!!!!!! At one point he was rated #1 slid to 5 and fell magically into Homers arms...couldn't be happier thanks Carts for supplying this pick. I have a feeling he'll stand in front of the net on the PP like Tim Kerr did....nice!!!!!!!

Yes, the word is that he would've been taken in the top three for sure minus that sickness. I think we can consider him great bang for our buck at 8th.

Btw, you butchered his name. It is Sean Couturier...lol
