In fairness to Cable, we spent basically zero money on OL for about 4 years, instead putting it all into the defense.

Yeah they put a lot of resources into the line but it's the fact that the people they picked in drafts ( Cables guys ) never panned out so they never got that 2nd contract. So yeah the numbers would go down when you keep paying only for first contract numbers. Also when your Oline is the worst in the NFL they should be paid the worst.
