I think every team goes on Sunday afternoon so teams can have an almost equal advantage to open up the WC round. Seahawks/Niners would be the Game of the Week.

Seems when a game is worthy they have flexed in week 17. I think the 2010 game against the rams was week 17 flexed to prime time.

Yeah, that's what I figured too (same reason there's no MNF that week)....but the NFL's flex rules refer to week 17, so maybe they'll still do it?

The only thing I can think of is a 1pm game flexed to the 4:25 for the Game of the Week.

there was a nice article about the chance of a week 17 flex game on SI when the season started they had the 49ers@Seahawks #5 on the list. Here i will go find the link.

Yeah #5 on the list and no match-up rated higher is a better game if the Hawks and 49ers are still battling for the NFC west Title AND, have to add that "AND" the chance for the #1 seed in the NFC.

With the history of tight and entertaining games between these two clubs that all ready had one for the ages this year i just can't see how this is not a slam dunk.
