Makes me nervous ... NFL say's no matter what happens even if they're sold they are staying put... But it's always kinda scary because you never know what an owner can do in the future, Allen had ties to the NW and this was his home, hopefully a local buyer steps up...

I am not worried. Seattle is not only a strong market, they are becoming an international brand. The attendance of Seahawks fans in London speaks volumes. Finally, the Clink is one of the best football venues in the NFL. The money is coming in so if a new owner tried to do a Howard Shultz, you can bet your ass that they wouldn't get more than 5 owners that would vote for a move.

In summary, money GOOD! Moving, BAD!!

Yeah, as mentioned directly above, I doubt hardly any other owners would support this franchise moving. The situation is a bit different than the mid-90s.

No worries. The Seahawks aren't going anywhere. That City supports the shit out of that team.

Having said that, your biggest fear should be getting a bad owner like in DC or Oakland or Dallas.

Agreed... I was reading some stuff saying the NFL would never approve a move anyway so even if an outside buys them they're gonna have to stay... BUT hopefully someone local steps up anyway, if they're sold that is...

True... We had to suffer through the Behring years, it wasn't fun... A bad owner reflects on the team big time..

I would love for Schultz to apply for ownership and have the team issue a statement saying "The 12's are important to the team and we would like to run a poll asking Hawk fans should the team consider HS as an owner for the team?" Yes or no answer only.
Of course, this poll would never happen but I would love to see the result. I still refuse to buy Starbucks. Eff him, the rat basturd that he is.
My guess is 97% at least would thumbs down such a proposal.

There is no way a new owner would move the team, not for at least five to ten years. And the reason is that of the current landscape, you already have Rams, Chargers, and Raiders moving with the Jags talking about at least 4 home games in London. If you had another team move it would create the perception something is really wrong in the league and would hurt the NFL image.

Also were would the team move the Chargers are already struggling to sell out their soccer stadium right now. So I can't see the team moving but I can easily see a new ownership group coming in and the team turning into the M's of football. I hope that doesn't happen. But we could finally be seeing the end of the golden age of Seahawks football. Go Hawks!!

I also don't do Starbucks due to the Sonics screwjob by Schultz. We have one right next to our real estate office in South Hill, and I'm always being asked to meet someone there and I decline every time.

Try to as much as i can, prefer Tims more, but it doesn't help the situation that in most Save-on foods, the company that i work in the on 2 nights and Saturday for, stores their is a Starbucks.

Does Chris Hansen get his name in the discussion after pretty much striking out with the Kings and Sodo stadium?

I thought about that as well. Interesting to see if he makes a bid.

I don't think he has anywhere near the capital for such a venture.

I am no expert on who is rich and who isn't, but I would be surprised if the list of popular candidates who could actually afford it without help/partners is bigger than Bezos & Gates.

Going by Wiki, in 2012 his hedge fund company was worth $2.7 billion. Hawks are reportedly worth around $2 Billion, so given the 6 years, assuming his company didn't drastically regress, he could certainly afford to be a majority owner if not the sole owner.
