So, the Hawks have 3 total picks this year so far...
  • Round 2, Pick No. 56 overall
  • Round 4, Pick No. 129 overall
  • Round 7, Pick No. 250 overall
It will be interesting to see what the Hawks do... Traditionally, the Hawks tend to trade down with one of their picks in the 1st or 2nd rounds - will they do it again? I wouldn't be surprised to see them trade down into the late 2nd, early 3rd rounds while picking up a 4th or 5th pick in doing so...

I personally would like to see the Hawks trade down with their 2nd and try to grab a WR with that position being so deep this year... If they could end up with 3rd, (2) 4ths and a 7th, I would like it... If they picked up another 4th, I could also see them trading down with one of their 4th rounders as well to pick up an incremental 6th or 7th...

No clue who they will take but I see them trading back with the second rounder. With the additional 3rd probably trade back for another pick and with their 4th probably trade back again. I think Seattle will end up with 3 to 4 additional picks. Hopefully PC/JS can hit on a couple of these mid round picks.

I don't know if they will be trading a lot of picks, I do see them like trading 2022 draft capital for picks this year. Lets hope they don't as we do not have a 1st in 2022 and I would hate to continue to be in this "lack of picks" every year because they are using future capital just to get some back. It's a never ending cycle that needs to stop now.

I'd have to imagine they trade down their 2nd for an early 3rd and 5th. Amazing how much draft capital we've traded away. I mean the Adams trade was ridiculous and I still think a good move but we just never kept off the gas.

I sure hope they don't trade any more 2022 picks, rather just endure a lean draft.

I sure hope not but I also feel after the draft they might use 2022 capital for a trade or two. This is why I have stated this is starting to feel a little like TR moves in a few threads. Band-aid fixes with loss of draft capital ( big loss ). Remember this isn't the only draft that we had like very few picks. If it wasn't for the Clark trade a few years back we wouldn't have had shit in that draft also. Then they threw away picks for Clowney, lets hope Adams doesn't walk away also.

I think the FO trades back a couple of times this draft but I do agree I hope they don't use future picks in this draft/trades since they're down their first next year.

With quality players at CB, WR and OL in the 3rd and 4th rounds, I could see the Hawks trading back w/ their 2nd... Clayton makes some good points...

I will be absolutely SHOCKED if we don't trade down in the 2nd. Even if it means taking a weaker deal than they should.

I am all for BPA as long as it's not a TE, RB, DE or Safety.

Linebacker, Cornerback, Olineman, Defensive tackle, Receiver in that order. We only have FOUR Linebackers on the damn team and only two that are starting caliber.

Watching Pat Mcafee show for the draft, and I'm like him, this is going wayyyy too long. NFL Start this at 5:30 eastern and let's go. This drags way too long.

Draft seemed to go on forever last night. Longer than I remember.... maybe it's because I was sober...

I thought the opposite... I thought it went rather smoothly with picks coming in pretty quick... Last year it seemed to drag on for me with the virtual draft... This was so much better imo...

Remaining available CBs:
*Asante Samuel Jr.
*Ifeatu Melifonwu
*Tyson Campbell
*Elijah Molden

......get one of them, then start working on getting KJ back in the fold. That would leave us with very few remaining roster needs beyond depth and maybe a vet cut pick up or two if someone "interesting" pops up.

Ifeatu Melifonwu, CB, Syracuse is who I absolutely would love to get... He fits our profile very well at the CB position...

I'm hoping we go for need but PC/JS have shown us that they plan and execute in different ways. But I'm still hoping for a starting CB over a rotation DE or a WR competing with Swain for #3.
