Ive said this all along watching Shenn in junior and since he came to the Flyers

This guy will be a MVP type player in his prime

The last 2 performances I saw where a guy was that noticeable was Richie in the closeout game against MTL a few years back and then Primeau in the 6-2 drubing many years ago.

This kid is going to be amazing and needs ice time now since he looks primed to make a huge step forward.

I take it you're not watching the kings game now. Richie just tried to hack Lou's arm off and has thrown a few big hits. All in all I'll still take Schenn and Simmonds though

That's extremely significant. Richards is 27 and Schenn is 20. That's 7 years. By the time Schenn will be in his prime, Mike may be considering retirement.

Amazingly, the trade not only helped out our future by a ton, it's appeared to also aid in the present. If the Kings don't somehow beat the Canucks in their series, they should be kicking themselves indefinitely over this deal.

Agree. I feel very confident we can beat the Pens in this series. I get brainwashed by all the experts talking. I just don't get it why the Flyers aren't getting any in return? I'm getting close to 1000 posts. I may save it for tomorrow when everyone is on. So much to talk about. Great game by everyone. I hope Bourdon is okay.

If during this postseason Schenn turns out to be everything and more than we originally expected of JvR, then perhaps JvR will be dealt in the offseason. That would seemingly make a lot of you happy.
