Schedule idea for MLB.

Play every opponent 11 times in your league (14 teams x 11 = 154). Play 8 inter-league games to round out the 162-game schedule (...I'd like to see it stay at 154, but that's another topic). This equals a balanced schedule. Nobody could say the schedules are weighted differently. I think this would be a nice compromise between the people who argue about getting rid of divisions when certain topics come up (4th and 5th best records playing in the WC game) and the ones who like to see the division races coming down to the wire. With so many games played they could afford to do this in my opinion. Thoughts?

Does this take into account uneven leagues ... each league has 15 teams which means every series their is an intra-league series.

5 3 team divisions play everyone in your division 24 times, play the 12 other teams 8 times and play one cross league division 6 games each. Less travel, more rivalries, no wild cards . First round of playoffs is 4 vs 5 3 game series then after just like playoffs now

Yeah I would:

13 games vs. 4 divisional rivals: 52
9 games vs. 10 league rivals: 90
12 games vs. 5 teams in other leagues: 12

154 games.

Add 2 more teams to tank away their players to the Yankees or Red Sox, giving you 24 teams that can't win shit ... and balance the schedule.
