He inherited a team with a huge payroll and yet has little output. He gave them extra practice and had them focus on fundamentals yet it hasn't made an impact. . Lots of errors and unearned runs galore along with poor relief pitching. One can only hope for a successful return of Galvis,Hamels and Ruff. That might make a huge impact on production. I will not throw in the towel just yet but things are looking bleak!

The Phillies will face Fernandez tonight. I would be pleased if they get more than 4 hits against him. It is amazing that other teams give young players a role on their major league roster and that they actually produce. Amaro should pay attention. However it seems that other teams usually avoid blocking out their youth by hiring aging veterans. The saga continues!

Well, the Marlins have consistently had a good farm system for a long time. One of the reasons why they can bring up so many prospects that produce.

Yes it's true. But they do give their prospects a chance to play and develop further. possibly because they have to since they have a low payroll and can't sign veterans at random. The Rays and the Athletics are also low payroll teams who produce home grown talent.
