BIG game for SJ tonight...

Gary Brown 4-5, 2 2B, 2R, 2 SB
Hector Sanchez 3-5, 3 HR, 6 RBI
Branden Crawford 2-5, 2B, 2 R, 2 RBI
Zack Wheeler 4.0 IP, 6 BB, 5 H, 4 ER, 1 HR

Wheeler with a bad game, but the other 3 big prospects in SJ right now with BIG games...

I like that Crawford is showing some plate discipline and still has some pop.

And Brown is just rediculous right now. Some more walks and less caught thefts would be nice, but I like the power he's showing, even if it's a hitters league.

So, how long until Crawford, Brown and the bunch are sent to AA? Late June, early July?

Per Bobby Evans, Crawford is going to Fresno pretty soon. He was only in SJ for kind of an extended ST. Evan's preference is to have Brown in SJ the whole year.

That's what I figured about Crawford. But I'm surprised about Brown. Or is this what he always says until the prospect forces their hand and promotes them (I.E., Posey, Belt, Sandoval)?

Also, Adriniza is back from injury in low-A ball. Will he take Crawford's spot in high-A? He did spend a full season there last year.

I HOPE thats Evans' MO. Brown was a college Sr, so advancing him slowly does not make a lot of sense to me. I think he should be given an outside shot at making the club out of ST NEXT YEAR.

No reason to move slowly with him (no reason to rush him either, but he is not a HS kid).

I think Evans' plan is to send Adrianza to Richmond as soon as he's ready. Noonan has been playing SS there, but he's really more of a 2b who was moved to make room for Culberson. With Burriss up, maybe Noonan to Fresno, where he can return to 2b?
