I just have no faith in prospects. Cleveland got Matt Laporta (can't miss prospects that sucked) and 3 other highly touted prospects who all sucked when they traded sabathia

Sure, but at one time Trout, Harper, Kershaw, Sale, etc. were all prospects. I'm not saying it's easy to know who those are, and getting a kid who's already made the majors obviously helps to know, but if you get 10 of those by trading everyone away, at least 5 should be ML talent.
