I remember this. A lot of idiots were losing their shit because we let Meredith go. Of course the genius didn't give 2 cents about Meredith and look what happens.

I read your link and honestly don't see anyone flatout thinking letting Meredith was a mistake except for noon. Where are all the 'clueless regulars' in that thread?

His ACL tear was bad. He will get another chance though. We already replaced him with Wims. They are practically the same player. I was okay with losing cam. Paying players like cam to stick around is what ends up detailing a rebuild. Pace has been great about who to keep and who to let walk.

Sometimes it takes a couple of years, even longer to fully recover from injuries like Cam had. And then there are times when players never fully regain their previous skill sets. This latter situation may be applicable in his case.

Comment on what? Cam was a nice player for us.

I think you're well aware of why someone would tag you in a Cam Meredith thread. lol, Come on now.

Hard to say that Wims has earned the kind of praise which we once gave to a receiver who posted just under 900 yards, 4 TD's and 66 catches on 88 targets in only 10 starts. Mostly with Matt Barkley throwing to him, FWIW.

Meredith looked primed for a bright future before the ACL injury. Wims has a comparable skill set, but he's really only played on a part-time basis in one game.

I hope you're right and that they're the same.

Meredith picked up by Patriots.

If they cut him before camp is up... that means he's REALLY done.

I could see them making use of him, though. Maybe the knee will have come along a bit. My draft isn't until the 29th. Worth a flier in the 13th-14th round in fantasy? Perhaps.

Go Cam. Good kid, I hate to see injury ruin it for any player.

Make Wims the best WR on the team and the rest of the WRs utter garbage, and I will bet he gets similar numbers.

I don't know. Those are fantastic numbers for any wide out, anywhere. Over a full season, that's a pace for nearly 100 catches, 1400 yards and 7 TD's. I also feel like Matt Barkley cancels out the benefits of being a #1. haha

Hard to say that Wims is capable of that based on a non-existent sample size.
