What really caught my eye:
"- The Sharks have not won back to back games in six weeks (Jan. 31, Feb. 2)
- The Sharks have not won back to back games on the road in more than two months (Jan 12, 14)
- The Sharks have not won by a multiple goal margin in more than four weeks (Feb. 13, 5-3 vs. WAS)"

I was trying to think of the last time the sharks won by multiple goals, and it was a long time ago, and hey McGinn was the 1st star of that game! The sharks won games by 2 or more goals 4 times in January.

Trade away the only threat on the bottom 7 and there yah go. No shocker that ginner is gone and the sharks cant score more than three. They havent scored 4 in about a month, a span of 14 straight games.

But, who is going to score 4 goals? They basically have 3 consistent scoring threats among the forwards, likely only 3 20+ goal scorers in cooch, patty, and pavs. So, where are the 4 goals going to come from? The answer is that only if one of those three goes off for a hat trick are the sharks going to score 4. Jumbo, clowe, boyle, and burns might pitch in every now and then, but certainly in no regular, reliable way. Zues hasnt scored in a month, Winchester 2 months, moore never, galiardi never, winnik never, Desjardins nearly 3 months, wingels has one goal in the last month. Mitchell, strangely enough, is the only guy remotely scoring with 3 goals in the last 6 games, but then again it's also 3 goals in the last two months. That basically means the regular bottom 7 sharks forwards have a combined 4 goals in the last month, or roughly .25 goals per game.

On the contrary, the top 5 forwards have carried their weight. over the same losing stretch since the 6-5 L to Tampa, Jumbo has 3 goals, patty with 5, pavs with 2, cooch with 5, clowe with 2 for a total of 17 or roughly 1.3 goals per game together. Clearly, that's low, but when cooch and patty EACH have more goals than the entire bottom 7, that's the issue right there.

...And we have another Jamie McGinn sighting. :deadhorse:
