The Buffalo Sabres have traded defenseman TJ Brennan to the Florida Panthers, in exchange for a 5th round pick in the 2013 entry draft. Brennan was unlikely to clear waivers, so getting a late round pick for the pending restricted free agent appeared to be the Sabres best option.
