Yup... Clune is kind of a toolbox. Ryp looked like he pretty much banged his head off of the boards at the end there.

Clune was out of position before it even started. I understand trying to get in close quick, but after his stick got all in his face...he should have backed off and re-engaged. He didn't and ate a left. Oh well..

it's encouraged

on further views (a bunch of them) I really love the facts that:
1) Clune was the one who asked for the fight, and
2) Rypien just skated away like it was another day at the office.

actually, I wouldn't be surprised if he was either out of the line-up or meek as a kitten.
in the series he has been virtually invisible, expect for the yapping in the warm-up or from the bench.
also, he looked like he hurt a shoulder, and maybe they give Ivanens another shot.
Which suits Rip a little better, he's a giant killer

a guy with 14 career games averaging 5 minutes a game on the 4th line has not earned the right to yap.
this fight with Ripper was his career statement, and he failed miserably.
