Am I looking at Ryan's stats right? He's a CB who had 113 tackles and 4.5 sacks last season? Sounds more like an in the box safety.

Tennessee Titans defense ranked in middle of NFL by Touchdown Wire

He had 4 sacks the previous season before that as well. One reason for Ryan's impressive sack numbers could be that the Titans entire DL totaled just 9.5 sacks for 2019. Which was 4 more sacks than the entire DL totaled in 2018. Damn! That would explain, at least partly, Ryan's sack numbers the last 2 years. Those 113 tackles r pretty crazy as well

What befuddles me is why is Ryan still available at this point and time.

And at his age, he's likely looking for a multi-year deal, while teams are looking at a reduced cap next year and realizing they gotta make cuts next year and get cheaper players. The Skins are one of the few teams that can give him a multi-year deal at a reasonable price.

I think being able to be flexible with the cap next year after what might happen due to the virus is going to HUGE.

i dont see any increase in the cap without the stadium revenue and concessions

so in a way you are right and that could affect the next years FA and sherff being one of them
