Yeah, but what blame does Russell Wilson’s camp when Russ is responsible for at least 30% of those sacks because of his height. If trade Wilson and a 4th for Watson.
Maybe if Russ were 5 years younger. Try Russ and a 1st and 3rd

This marriage counseling thing doesn't look like it's going to work out. Just a question of when the bottom comes out now be it this offseason or some indeterminate one.

If you believe pff, they rate the Seahawks oline as average. So, Russell will now only play behind a top 5 offensive line?

Nope, Russell for Watson and a 3rd. Watson is a has leverage. Wilson is just getting bad advice.

Wilson can’t fix the offense when defenses make him play like he his is 5’10. That is why the Rams have always dominated him. It isn’t just the offensive lines or offensive scheme

lol

The offensive line is and always has been the problem. Wilson has been sacked 400 times in 9 years. Not only is that not sustainable, it's amazing that he's lasted this long and can still play at a high level. During their Super Bowl trips, the only thing protecting him was that they actually had a run game. They don't have that now.

Well there' routes you can run to get the dogs to back off a little but fucking PC refuses to throw slants. If they lose Wilson then fuck this team. PC's time has passed and he needs to go.

The offensive line has been an “issue” but the offensive line isn’t nearly as bad they have been made out to be. They aren’t going to get the Cowboys offensive line of the 90’s but had an all pro caliber LT, a first team all rookie guard and a solid RT. An offensive lineman is suppose to build a pocket for a spot. Of those sacks a minimum of 1/3rd of those are on him scrambling into them. His height is always going to be an issue against the Rams as long as they have Donald, but Russell needs to look in the mirror that he can help the offensive line by not holding onto the ball.

Sure, but there are routes the team cannot run. Slants and drags are route Russell is terrible at. He is great at deep balls, outs and outside curls. Pete Carroll’s time may have passed because he likes a slow tempo and strong defense, but that is what wins in the playoff. Tom Brady got the MVP but the Bucs defense won the Super Bowl.

Everyone? Where did I say he wasn’t a problem? Who was the only team he always sucked against throughout his entire career up until the end of the year? Then other defenses started playing exactly the same way the Rams have played against him and he went from a MVP to a bottom tier starting QB.

This doesnt tell the whole story when phrased like that. As much as I love Russ a good chunk of these sacks are self inflicted by the way he moves around and holding the ball too long

Being sacked 40 times a year says different. Granted, it's not all on the line. Some is scheme. You have to run plays that hide your o-lines weaknesses as much as possible. Some is Wilson trying to keep plays alive too long. There are a few times a game where I find myself yelling "Just throw it away" at my tv.

But most of it falls on the o-line and maybe the o-line coach for not developing them. But the Seahawks have spent less on the o-line than on any other group.

Part of holding the bal;l too long is the defense getting through too fast, causing him to have to scramble more. Look at Brady with the Bucs. He was hardly touched all season long. The Seahawks have consistently underspent on the o-line because of Russ' mobility. They have essentially set him up to have to scramble. Imo, Wilson has often times made the o-line look better than it was.

in previous years i'd agree. That wasnt necessarily the case last year sans a few games
