Are you serious? Belanger was a waste. The team went downhill after he was signed and the 2nd line scoring that was a terror all year dropped off. Flash is a great player and continues to improve. The biggest mistake the coaches made in 09-10 was taking him off the 2nd line center. I know he was a dud in the playoffs, but Flash is WAY more talented now than Belanger has EVER been and Belanger is old and has always had injury problems. There's a reason he's never stuck with a franchise for very long. Belanger's offense is non-existent and his defense is overrated.

Belanger will not be our second line center. He should not have been last year. he is a third line guy and he is good at that. I like the idea of him playing with Chimera and Fehr as an energy line. Plus, it gives us two of the best faceoff guys in the league. I have never been a fan of Flash and although he does have some scoring touch, I think it is a bit inflated by the team he plays on. he could probably bring back something nice, so I am fine with moving him. Trade from your strengths right??

I have just never been a big "Flash" guy....
