So you legitimately meant Holmgren. I googled him this morning and there’s no rumors about anything.

Dude...

... why do you and others fall hook, line and sinker into this dude's trap? lol. How could anyone POSSIBLY take this seriously?

Just got off the phone with Steve Shandy and based on his tone and the conversation that we had, I can tell you with "most" certainty that Mike Holmgren will not be the next head coach of the Bengals........or at least not until after 2019. Sure, the interest is there with Mike Holmgren, but NOT with the Bengals...... at this point in time. Mike Brown is committed to Marvin Lewis through 2019.
From what I know:
Holmgren (MH)opened the door with Mike Brown (MB)and the topic was discussed with MB assuring (MH) that he is committed to Lewis through the 2019 season, but opening the possibility of a giving Holmgren a "look see" after 2019. I don't expect anything to happen before 2019, BUT this is a business so there is always a window.
At this time, Holmgren in before 2019, 94%.
Hope this lays to rest all the Holmgren talk that has been springing up here as of late.

“Laid” to rest?

Is that code for @MrChaney ?

Holmgren is 70 years old and hasn’t coached in a decade.

Did you mean McCarthy?

He's on Social Security. Might be able to get him at a discounted salary. Bengals should be all in!

How bad do you have to be for the Bengals to fire you? Lewis hasn't won a playoff game in what? 16 years now? And when people thought he might get the axe last time, he was threatening to quit if he didn't get an extension and got that? Seriously, at what point do you have to finally realize he probably wasn't the reason the Ravens D was so dominant.

I love Dick LeBeau, but he's not a head coach. Not a knock. Buddy Ryan and Wade Phillips are elite coaches, just not great head coaches. But when he's in his 3rd year losing 20 of his last 23 games with the worst offense and defense... why not let him go?

Coslet had 4 straight losing seasons. 7 wins over his last two years and after starting 0-3 had to quit to leave.

And I swear they only kept Dave Shula so he could become the fastest to 50 losses in NFL history.

Crazy. Mike Brown takes over the team and fires Sam Wyche after his first losing season immediately. Then decides now that he's done that, he can cross that off his list for forever.
