Wild pitch yes, passed ball no.

Pitchers are thought to be in control of a wild pitch, where a passed ball is an error on the catcher

Thanks. That was my thought, too. How about a wild throw to first that allows a runner to score? E-1

I'm working on a project(run scoring without contact) and this info is a necessary part of an adjustment.

here u go:suds:

) The official scorer shall charge an earned run against a pitcher every time a runner reaches home base by the aid of safe hits, sacrifice bunts, a sacrifice fly, stolen bases, putouts, fielder’s choices, bases on balls, hit batters, balks or wild pitches (including a wild pitch on third strike that permits a batter to reach first base) before fielding chances have been offered to put out the offensive team. For the purpose of this rule, a defensive interference penalty shall be construed as a fielding chance. A wild pitch is solely the pitcher’s fault and shall contribute to an earned run just as a base on balls or a balk.

Another rules question:

If there’s an error made on a foul ball(dropped pop up) but the pitcher still goes 27 up, 27 down, would it still go down as a perfect game with an error in the box score?

Also if the pitcher makes an error that leads to runs, those should go down as earned runs

I think a perfect game is defined as no runner reaching base. Also, would the error stand if the batter ended up making an out?

Theoretically yes, because no one reached base. From MLB's rules:

Rules, Regulations and Statistics

An official perfect game occurs when a pitcher (or pitchers) retires each batter on the opposing team during the entire course of a game, which consists of at least nine innings. In a perfect game, no batter reaches any base during the course of the game.

Yes, the error would stand. I read up on that at one point and forcing the pitcher to throw more pitches to retire the batter is enough to charge an error

That is false.....the error is treated the same as all positions
