Ruf is the new Ryan

During the 6 game losing streak, Ruf is 4/19 with 0 RBI. It' is unfair to make too harsh a judgement after only 15 games but this is the path he's on so far. Plus he's a RHB who might have some trouble with LHP. We can only hope he gets hot soon.

Ruf: runners on .190, none on .355, RISP 0/12 .000; LHP .214, RHP .316 K rate .322
Howard: runners on .241, none on .278, RISP 20/72 .277; LHP .173, RHP .302 K rate .332

wayyy too early to be knocking ruf. hitting .288/.383/.481. not everyone can come up and hit like yasiel puig. so what, he's not hitting lefties. that will change with more time in the big leagues.

Yeah, the thing about Ruf vs LHP is waaaaayyyy too soon. Sure he's batting .214, but he also has a .996 OPS against lefties. How is that possible? Small sample size. He's 3-14 vs lefties, but 2 of his 3 hits are homeruns. He also has 3 walks. You gotta give him at least a couple hundred PAs before you can even start to see a pattern.
