Darin Ruf never came to bat tonight in Lehigh. He chased a ball in left and slid into the wall (foul territory) while spraining his wrist and opening up a knee gash that required stitches. He will go on the DL. Must be the Amaro curse!

I'm guessing at some point he'll be released or thrown in on a trade and have a good year or two with Oakland or Tampa Bay or some other team that recognizes obp is important and strikeouts are not.
For his sake I hope so. If he's not going to get a chance here he deserves one somewhere.
