In the game that made Patrick Roy demand to be traded out of Montreal, he was pissed because they left him in while the team was giving up tons of goals that night--I think it was 7 or 8. He never played another game for Montreal, claiming they humiliated him.
Last night Roy left Varlamov in net for all 8 goals, including 4 in the 3rd period. I know he wanted Giguere to start tonight's game as the second in a back-to-back, but the irony to me is interesting.

Looking at the box score he should have pulled him after the 6th goal. There was less than 5 minutes left then. How much would it have tired out Giguere to go in for the last 5 minutes? Might have pulled him after the 5th goal though. That was at the 8:55 minute of the 3rd period. Still over half the period left to try and get 3 goals to tie it up. They do have a pretty potent offense.
