....sad to get this in my monthly club e-mail:

The golf course, greens and tees, tennis courts and bar are closed for the season.
The short course is open for play on holes# 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12 & 18.

We got a foot of snow in this storm giving me two snow days off from work but closing the course for good. They'll cut a flag just short of the greens on the holes listed and we don't use the tee areas but on any decent day if the snow's gone, we can hit it around. Mostly used early season before the course opens.

Wow...life in the northeast...enjoyed it, but I don't miss it.

So we had 40 degrees with no wind here yesterday so the three of us got out on the frozen course to play 8 holes. Aside from a few stinkers I really hit the ball well. It was great to be out for the last time and we played all sorts of crazy configurations like the 13th from the back of the 18th tee. 600yd par 5 and with the frozen ground I got it on in 3! A 5i from 200 bounced right up to the hole.

Surgery tomorrow morning.

Surgery was a breeze! The bandaging was aggravating but I slept last night with no tingling and numbness in my fingers for the first time in months. I used 3 percs just yesterday but this morning it feels fine and I don't need any more.

Can't Fing wait for the 2020 season!

I have been thinking of upgrading my fairway woods...or maybe one of them.

I currently have TaylorMade Burner Superfast 2.0s for my 3W and 5W and hit the shit out of them. I love them.

but do I want to try the new Callaways?

I think it is a bad idea. Money would be better spent elsewhere...like a nice set of wedges.

or waders and boots for fly fishing...

I have the Ping GMax Driver and 3 wood and I like them both. I intended to get the 5 wood but I fuckin' KILL my old Nike Covert 5 wood. I've decided to just keep it because I just can't imagine that I'd do any better with the Ping.

I finally took out my 4hybrid that I could only hook for some reason (shaft and too much offset) and replaced with a Ping 21 deg.
