This is like a DC type of draft baby!

WR not a need here, but BPA fits the mold.

This dude is way better then a 6th round pick. He has made some SICK catches in college.... He struggled a bit vs the press which is tough for a big WR but the upside is big here. Guy is a great red zone target and has made some eye poppin catches with Auburn the past two years. A year ago I would have pegged him as a day two pick.... He may not have the incredible workout numbers but when I watched him at Auburn the guys ability to shine at times was pretty amazing.... Bit of a freak when the ball is in the air.

I suspect the Broncos have a deal in place, but if not - welcome to the NFL - BPA.

19. SETH WILLIAMS | Auburn 6030 | 211 lbs. | JR. Cottondale, Ala. (Bryant) 4/10/2000 (age 21.05) #18
BACKGROUND: Seth Williams grew up in Cottondale (10 miles east of Tuscaloosa) and attended Paul W. Bryant High School, named after the legendary Alabama head coach. He was a four-sport standout, lettering in baseball, basketball, football and track. Playing wide receiver, safety and kicker/punter, Williams saw immediate reps on varsity and was part of a rotation as a freshman and sophomore. Williams posted 39 receptions for 527 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior and helped lead Bryant to the state playoffs in back-to-back years. He was a switch-hitter on the baseball team and hit better than .400 his sophomore year, but he switched to track as a junior and was a state medalist. Williams had personal bests in the 100 meters (10.94), 400 meters (49.91) and long jump (21’4.75). He was a power forward on the basketball team and led Bryant to the 2016 Class 6A state championship, scoring a team-high 16 points in the title game.
A four-star recruit out of high school, Williams was the No. 35 wide receiver in the class and the No. 5 recruit in the state of Alabama (No. 2 receiver in the state behind Justyn Ross). His scholarship list filled up quickly midway through his high school career, receiving offers from major SEC programs like Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and others. Growing up an Alabama fan in Tuscaloosa’s backyard, Williams shocked many when he decided to sign with rival Auburn, becoming just the sixth player from Tuscaloosa County to sign with the Tigers (and only the second since 1976). He elected to skip his senior year and enter the 2021 NFL Draft.

STRENGTHS: Tall, developed frame and defined muscle...ball-winner who thrives in 50-50 situations...strong, physical hands and crowded catch points don’t bother him...comfortable on back shoulders and uses his size to shield defenders...able to climb the ladder and uses his coordination to make plays over defensive backs...has tackle-breaking power, including a stout stiff arm, after the catch...strong-striding routes and works to open spaces...knows where the sticks are with 75.8% of his receptions resulting in a first down or touchdown...productive red zone threat...physical blocker with room to get even better in this area...quality production and finishes his career ranked No. 3 in school history in touchdowns grabs (17).
WEAKNESSES: Average speed, allowing corners to squat on his routes...gives defenders a large target vs. press and struggles to separate (see 2020 South Carolina tape vs. Jaycee Horn)...doesn’t have the wiggle in his routes to shake sound coverage...strong grip strength at the catch point, but runs into too many drops (15 combined drops the last two seasons)...wasn’t a consistent deep threat with only 6.8% of his catches resulting in a 40-plus yard play...able to trample defenders as a ball carrier, but non-threatening as a YAC threat...not consistently on the same page with his quarterback, leading to him coasting and prematurely abandoning his routes...allows his competitive juices get the best of him at times...missed one game due to a left shoulder injury (September 2019).
SUMMARY: A three-year starter at Auburn, Williams was the X receiver in former offensive coordinator Chad Morris’ spread scheme, lining up inside and outside. He made an immediate impact with the Tigers and led the team in receiving yards as a sophomore and junior, becoming just the fourth player in school history to reach 2,100 receiving yards in his career. A good-sized athlete, Williams is a smooth, balanced mover with excellent play strength and hand-eye coordination to out- rebound the football. He understands route nuance but doesn’t sink or explode in/out of his breaks and wasn’t a YAC threat in college — less than a third (32.2%) of his receiving yards came after the catch. Overall, Williams doesn’t play with suddenness to create separation, and his inconsistencies are frustrating, but he is a ball-winner with the physical profile and athletic body control to win contested catches. He projects as an NFL possession receiver with starting ability.
GRADE: 4th Round

I like the passion Williams brings to his game. Also - he brings a dimension to the Bronco's receiving room that really isn't there already - he has the willingness to body defenders away from him and that is Red Zone gold.

I’m liking this pick more and more. I immediately felt calm though after the pick because DC liked it, and I had no real idea, so I figured it must be good.
