I don't think it was a benching rather he was injured. He actually had a really solid second season. 65 catches, 709 yards and 6TDs.

I hope you are right .. I agree with really solid .. I would add Verry cliutch, when we just had to have it he was very much just that!

If Franklin grows as much from year 2 to 3 as he did 1 to 2 he will take another giant leap. I love Franklin as everyone knows and I don’t think his upside is massive like pro bowl level, but there is more to give. Also Payton loves him. Speaks very highly of him. Just praised his growth a few days ago and how he thinks he can tap into his full potential next year. Now just use Mims right and get that other stud wr. See how far PB comes and see who we add this offseason. Payton is good about using all WR’s. He just needs to use some of them better.

I appreciate @58crash as my closest Mims supporter. This is why I love Crash.

Keep in mind Mims has 4 of our top 10 plays this year. Learn how to use him more often. :-)

Btw. i have the white, old orange, new orange, throwback orange and navy blue jerseys of Mims, Franklin and Surtain. Time for 58 to get his. ;)

11 minet mark franklin talking about this year... what good dood .

I am impressed at Talib’s football knowledge post career. I feel like a lot of former players aren’t good about analyzing football and players after their career is over but think because they played they “use to play”, Talib is really good. He follows.

Those types that use the "Used to play" argument are the ones that seem to shut down anyone who didn't play in the NFL as not having a valid opinion on the sport. All I think in those moments is how many coaches in the NFL never actually played in the NFL. Are they saying all of those guys are invalid in their thoughts on the game?

My last post didn't come out well. I tried to remember the "they played" part but it made sense I think. ;)

Agree Carl. I hear so many former players say "If you have never played the game you can't comment", agree on some subjects of the game but not when analyzing. Also, does that mean if you played backyard football pee wee, HS, college you can comment?

Now lets see how far he can leap from year 2 to 3. Giant leap year 1 to 2. Plus a great blocker.

Yep, a lot of the free agent targets this year really are replicas of what the Broncos already have.

Irks me when fans can't comprehend it. Everyone wants to sign someone just to sign someone. Why spend 80m on a WR you already have for much cheaper with likely more upside to tap into?

The Alec Pierce contract bothers me too. Not that a lot of people were calling for Alec Pierce in Denver but he isn't better then what we already have. He's just a decent FA whose name pops up on people's social media accounts so they think our team has to show they are serious about winning by over paying him?

We did the smart thing at WR... To make it work it has to be reasonable and a WR who is better then what we already have... We just can't simply make a move to make a move.

I am excited about our WR core. We had one of the best separation spreads in the league with young, still developing, upside WR's. We don't need to over pay for a WR who isn't as good or any better then what we currently have and sorry but the proven stud WR's costing price is too high right now so we can't be dumb and jump on those either.
